SENCo

Lisa brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as SENCo at Education Allies. With a degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Surrey and over 15 years of experience in education, she is dedicated to supporting children and young people who need extra help to thrive.

After qualifying as a teacher in 2007, Lisa gained valuable experience working as a teaching assistant, in a PRU, and as a class teacher in both mainstream and SEN schools. She became a qualified SENCo in 2014 and spent over five years leading SEN provision in a mainstream primary school. Currently, she also works as a Family Liaison Teacher, Pupil Premium Lead, Attendance Lead, and is training as a Senior Mental Health Lead.

Her approach is holistic, informed by her additional training as a children’s yoga teacher, and her ability to connect with children and families. She believes working with children is a privilege and is committed to making a meaningful difference in their lives.

WHY MENTORING MATTERS:

Every young person deserves the tools and support to reach their full potential—whether they’re navigating challenges at school, balancing extracurricular commitments, or just looking for extra guidance to stay on track.
Our mentors provide that crucial support. They’re here to help young people feel confident, organised, and prepared to tackle whatever comes their way.

Inspirational and Compassionate: They genuinely care about helping young people thrive.

Experienced and Knowledgeable: Many are current or former teachers who understand education and the pressures young people face.

Tailored Support: They connect with your child on a personal level, helping them develop both academically and emotionally.

Provide a safe, supportive space to talk about school, social, or personal challenges.
Offer practical strategies for staying organized and managing time effectively.
Build confidence and motivation to tackle goals inside and outside of school.
Support your child for a short time or throughout their educational journey.
We take great care to match your child with the mentor who’s the best fit for their personality and needs, ensuring a meaningful and supportive relationship.

Most sessions are conducted remotely, making it easy and convenient for young people to access support from the comfort of home.
You can work with your mentor to create a schedule that works best for your child. Some prefer longer check-ins once a week, while others benefit from shorter, more frequent sessions. Together, we’ll create a mentoring package that suits your child’s needs.

Sessions are £50 per hour.

"Education Allies has been a game-changer for my child. Their mentor not only boosted their confidence but helped them re-engage with school and even activities outside the classroom. I’ve never seen them so motivated—thank you!"
